Sister, Sister’ star Tia Mowry has pulled the plug on her marriage with Cory Hardrict. The two were married for over 14 years.
Tia took to Instagram Tuesday and shared a message which seemingly had something to do with the divorce. It reads, “Letting go can be painful. But it won’t hurt as much holding on to an illusion.”
According to legal documents, Mowry filed the dissolution of marriage in Los Angeles County Courts and is citing “irreconcilable differences” as the cause for the split. The television star is asking for joint custody of her two children and wants the court to terminate its ability to award spousal support to either party.
She also captioned a black and white picture of her and Corey locking eyes on Instagram, “I have always been honest with my fans, and today is no different. I wanted to share that Cory and I have decided to go our separate ways,” the post read.
“These decisions are never easy, and not without sadness. We will maintain a friendship as we co-parent our beautiful children. I am grateful for all the happy times we had together and want to thank my friends, family and fans for your love and support as we start this new chapter moving forward in our lives.”
Tia and Cory tied the knot back in 2008 and they currently have 11-year-old Cree and 4-year-old Cairo together.
