Jonathan Majors Avoids Jail Time

American actor Johnathan Majors finally knows his fate, four months after a jury found him guilty of assaulting and harassing his ex-girlfriend, choreographer Grace Jabbari.

Earlier today, Judge Michael Gaffey declared that “jail is not necessary” before sentencing Majors to one year of domestic violence counselling.

The 34-year-old “Loki” star must complete a 52-week in-person intervention programme and continue with his mental health therapy.

Majors must provide the court with updates on treatment, with his first compliance date on Sept. 13. If he is not compliant, Judge Gaffey said Majors could face up to 364 days in jail for the misdemeanour.
