Rolling Stone conducted a series of interviews with several former staffers at Yeezy, as part of their behind-the-scenes report on the current chaos that is happening with the brand.
During the session, many employees allegedly recalled their nightmare experiences.
One employee recalled back in 2015, before his first Yeezy Collection launch, Ye was at his studio with his team of designers and while listening to his music on the speakers, someone suggested he play something else. West then ask an employee to make a suggestion and when they requested Drake, he fired them. The staffer said, “I thought, Oh, he’s a rapper, I should probably mention some rap, Big mistake, the next day I was fired”.
Though it is not exactly clear when this happened, it must have been during the peak of Drake and Ye’s beef.
