The Oscar this year is switching up things a bit.
The 94th Academy will be hosted by actresses Regina Hall, Amy Schumer and Wanda Sykes.
On Tuesday, the trio were officially named hosts of the upcoming Academy Awards during the “Good Morning America” telecast.
“Good Morning America I’m not sure who thought this was a good idea, but I am hosting the Oscars along with my good friends Wanda Sykes and Regina Hall,” Schumer said in a video shown on “GMA.”
This is the first time in Oscars’ history that three women will host the show, though 3 persons have hosted before.
The last entertainer to host the Academy Awards was ABC late-night host Jimmy Kimmel, which was three years ago. The last time a woman hosted the Oscars was Ellen DeGeneres in 2014. Whoopi Goldberg was the event’s first-ever female host in 1994; she would go on to host the show four times in total.
The Oscars, which is Hollywood’s biggest night will be held on March 27.
