The School Challenge Quiz show has been trending on social media due to “a bad question.”

During the show on Monday night, in the second round, Denbigh High, who was playing against Wolmers Boys, were asked by the host “which Jamaican artiste recorded the single ‘Equal Rights?’ ” A member of the Denbigh High School responded naming Ishawna as the artiste responsible for the single, which was deemed incorrect.

Several artistes have recorded songs with “Equal Rights” as its title. Jamaican rocksteady and reggae vocal trio, The Heptones, recorded “Equal Rights” in 1968 and was later on recorded by the Prince of reggae Dennis Brown. Peter Tosh recorded another “Equal Rights” on his own in 1977. And of course, Ishwana one is more recent.
So Denbeigh was not incorrect.

Of course, social media users chimed in “Both answers are correct and most young ppl don’t even know who Peter Tosh is.” “Him don’t wrong … geem him point! Dem shoulda ask which long time old artist 😂 dem fi gweh.” A user added.

Following deliberation during the break, Denbigh High however did get the point.
