Prime Minister Andrew Holness is urging citizens to ride out the economic shocks affecting the country.
Mr. Holness said the country is being impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic and a supply chain shock brought on by the ongoing Ukraine/Russia war.
While pointing out that all households are feeling the shocks in one way or another, Mr. Holness reiterated that the situation is not the government’s fault.
The Prime Minister urged citizens to not be disheartened by the shocks as the country will overcome them.
He also repeated that the government will not take hasty actions which will lead the country into a far worse situation.
He was speaking at the at launch of the 2022 Youth Summer Employment Programme, at the Manning’s High School in Westmoreland, yesterday.
