MGM Resorts International denies claims that Bruno Mars is $50 million in debt with the entertainment company.

The rumour took off on social media and claimed that the “24k Magic” artiste racked up $50 million worth of gambling debt in Las Vegas, and that MGM “basically owns him.”

Many fans speculated that this had been the reason for his musical absence, as the last collaborative album from Mars was in 2021, while his last solo album, 24K Magic, was released in 2016.

Videos and articles of the artiste admitting that he has been gambling since his teenage years surfaced on the internet, amplifying the claims.

However, yesterday (March 18), MGM Resorts International denied that the superstar was indebted to them.

In the statement, MGM said, “We’re proud of our relationship with Bruno Mars, one of the world’s most thrilling and dynamic performers… MGM and Bruno’s partnership is longstanding and rooted in mutual respect. Any speculation otherwise is completely false; he has no debt with MGM. Together, we are excited to continue creating unforgettable experiences for our guests.”
