The Jamaica Football Federation, JFF, has announced that the General Elections for the organization can now go ahead.

According to a statement issued by the JFF this morning, the development follows the court’s decision to deny the application for the continuation of the temporary injunction on the election of the Federation.

The Court ruled on the basis that Patricia Garel and Beach Soccer Jamaica, did not establish that they are an affiliate or member of the JFF and as such there is no serious issue to be tried by the court.

The JFF says this now clears the way for them to set the new election date, which will be determined by the Board.

The incumbent Micheal Rickets is being challenged JFF First-Vice President Raymond Anderson. Ricketts has been in office as President since September 2017.
