AKEEM BLAKE AMONG 31 MEMBER JAMIACA TEAM FOR THE WORLD ATHLETICS RELAYS IN THE BAHAMAS

A 31-member squad including World Championship relay bronze medalist Akeem Blake, World Indoor bronze medalist, Rusheen Mcdonald, World Under 20 record holder Roshawn Clarke and World Under 20 bronze medalist Alana Reid were named yesterday by the JAAA’s to represent Jamaica at the World Athletics Relays in the Bahamas between May 4 and 5.

Blake, along with World University games champion Kadrian Goldson, Ryiem Forde, Nigel Ellis, Bryan Levell, Odaine Mcpherson, and Javorne Dunkley are named in the men’s 4×100 meters pool.

Reid, the world under 20 bronze medalist was named alongside Kemba Nelson, Jodean Williams, Remona Burchell, Mickaell Moodie, Natasha Morrison and Yanique Dayle in the women’s 4×100 meters team.

Rusheen Mcdonald, world and Olympic relay medallist Janieve Russell, and world 400 meters hurdles finalist Roshawn Clarke, headline the pool for the 4×400 meters and mixed 4×400 meters relays respectively.

The men’s 4×400 meters & mixed relay pool includes Mcdonald, Malik james-king, Zandrion Barnes, Demish Gaye, Anthony Cox, Karyme Bartley, Assinie Wilson and Sean Bailey.

The women’s 4×400 meters and mixed relay pool has russell, stacey ann williams, Charokee Young, Leah Anderson, Ashley Williams, Junelle Bromfield, Tovea Jenkins and Roniesha Mcgregor

The management team includes team leader Dennis May, technical Director Maurice Wilson along with coaches Reynaldo Walcot, and Mark Elliot.
