A man who was listed as Person of Interest in yesterday’s (Tues) murder of a man, his wife, and their son in Waterloo, St. Catherine, was fatally shot during a joint police/military operation in the community this morning (Wed).
The deceased was listed as ‘Gaza Man’.
Three other men were arrested and two firearms were seized during the incident, which is believed to be a result of an ongoing gang feud in the area.
Head of the JCF’s Corporate Communications Unit, Senior Superintendent Stephanie Lindsay confirmed the incident at a press conference held this morning (Wed):
Investigations are ongoing and the police are appealing for anyone with information to contact @crimestopjamaica at 311, the National Intelligence Bureau at 811 or call 119.
Additionally, the other individuals who were listed as Persons of Interest are urged to turn themselves in.
Yesterday, 16 year old Innswood High school student Orlando Wellington, his father Omar Wellington, and mother Sharon Francis-Wellington, were found dead at their home in Waterloo, Spanish Town.
Mrs. Francis-Wellington was reportedly pregnant.
Police report that the Wellingtons had been shot dead and that their hands were bound.
