The 18-month old baby girl, who was thrown to the ground by a woman, engaged in an altercation with another woman, does not appear to have any serious physical injury.
The incident cam to public attention, after a video went viral on social media and drew the ire of citizens.
A statement from the Child Protection and Family Services Agency CPFSA, said the child was medically examined yesterday (Fri) and even though no sign of physical injury was found then, the agency will continue to monitor the child, for any future developments.
The agency said the baby girl was brought to the office by a relative yesterday, after which, the child was taken to court, where the judge deemed her to be in need of care and protection and placed her under state care.
