The Ministries of Tourism and Culture spent $23-million dollars to restore the Seville Great House Heritage Site, in Priory St. Ann.

According to Tourism Minister, Edmund Bartlett, the money spent on heritage sites and other local assets is essential, as it allows locals to have a greater appreciation of who they are.

He was speaking yesterday at the ribbon cutting ceremony that marks the completion of the Seville Heritage Park Enhancement Project.

Meanwhile, Culture Minister Olivia Grange said the house’s restoration was done through a partnership with the Spanish Jamaican Foundation.

She then outlined some of the improvements made at the heritage site.
