The Jamaica Defence Force JDF is reporting that due to actions by persons associated with the current National Water Commission NWC industrial action, the Up Park Camp Well was rendered inoperable.
The JDF in a statement said water has now been restored to the Camp and surrounding communities.
The JDF has also been activated to support the NWC to restore critical supplies to other facilities such as hospitals, schools and other essential services
Over 2000 NWC workers, angered by the Government’s handling of a compensation review, have cut supplies to thousands of customers islandwide.
NWC and trade union officials have been locked in a meeting since 10:00am.
