Education Minister Fayval Williams outlined the format for reopening during a media briefing Tuesday afternoon.

Mrs Williams said the education sector is in crisis with many children failing key subjects, such as Mathematics, English, Science and Social Studies.

She said there is therefore an urgent need to get children back in school.

The Education Minister said lessons will be delivered through three formats, the first of which is via the ministry’s online learning platform.

Mrs Williams said the ministry’s second approach to lessons will involve the use of cable, radio and free-to-air television stations to deliver classes.

The ministry will also provide printed material for at-home learning for students who are unable to access the internet.
