Tourism Minister Edmund Bartlett has expressed concern that the local tourism industry is losing workers.

Speaking during a post-cabinet press briefing this morning (April 6), Mr. Bartlett said since the start of the covid-19 pandemic, Jamaica has lost some 20,000 tourism workers to international recruiters.

He said if workers continue to leave, it could pose a challenge to Jamaica’s competitiveness as a destination.
