Tekashi 6ix 9ine is reportedly leaving New York once he is released from prison.
According to TMZ, the rapper has made plans to leave Brooklyn, where he is from, to head “somewhere far away”. Sources close to him have reportedly stated that his decision is based primarily on his safety.
Earlier last month, the Zee reported that Tekashi’s lawyer, Lance Lazzaro, had filed documents asking the judge in charge of Tekashi’s case to allow him to serve the rest of his 24-month sentence under home confinement, or in a community correctional facility; on the premise that his life is at risk. That request has since been denied.
Previously it was reported that Tekashi was going to stay in New York after his sentence and with the intention of beefing up security. Now it appears that things have changed, and he will now be hiring former law enforcement officers or ex-military who are licensed to carry firearms to protect him.
