Police say a reputed member of the “Blackman” faction of the Klansman Gang, Kevon McCallum, who’s wanted for murder, was captured by members of the Specialized Operations (SO) SWAT team in Kingston 8 earlier today.
McCallum was featured in 2020 as wanted by the St. Catherine North Police.
Police say he was listed for the January 2019 murder of Jason Brown which occurred on Chin’s Avenue in Spanish Town, St. Catherine. He is also a person of interest in several other incidents of violent crimes in the St. Catherine North Division.
According to the lawmen, McCallum was captured at an apartment complex in Kingston 8, during a mission-driven operation.
Arrangements are being made for him to be interviewed before formal charges are laid.
