4 guns including 2 high powered weapons and an assortment of ammunition were seized by the St. Catherine north Police in Linstead May 13.
Cops reportedly seized an M-16 rifle along with 17 rounds of ammunition, a 12-gauge shotgun with 28 rounds, 2 semi-automatic pistols as well as 44 round of ammunition.
Head of the St. Catherine North Police Division Senior Superintendent, Howard Chambers said that shortly after midday, a joint police military team was on patrol in Commodore district.
The officers reportedly observed a man whose behaviour aroused their suspicion. He says the police will not relent in their efforts to thwart criminal activity. He urging residents to assist the Police.
