The police have named a person of interest in the brutal slaying of a mother and her four children in Chapelton, Clarendon.
He is 23-year-old Rushane Barnett otherwise called ‘Jett’ or ‘Nick’.
Barnett is said to frequent Coco Piece in Clarendon, Wilson Run in Trelawny and Papine in St Andrew. He is believed to be a cousin of the deceased.
Anyone knowing the whereabouts of Barnett is being asked to contact the May Pen Criminal Investigations Branch at 876-832-2077, police 119 emergency number or the nearest police station.
Barnett is being asked to turn himself in to the police immediately.
It comes are four children and a woman, were found with their throats slashed, in Chapleton Clarendon this morning (Tues).
Head of the Clarendon Police Superintendent Glenford Miller, said the incident took place sometime between late last night and early this morning.
Three girls and one boy, are among the victims.
He said the woman appears to be the mother of the children.
