For mother’s day, Russell and Ciara shared that they got a new puppy as an addition to their family.
The NFL star and the musician took to social media to announce the new addition to their family, “Meet… BRONCo” said Ciara “The kids call her Bronco Love Brownie”. Ciara was gifted the pup by her hubby as a surprise.
While fans loved the announcement, PETA did not. PETA believes the couple’s new dog, Bronco, is a purebred puppy and likely from a breeder where “mother dogs are often locked inside filthy cages and bred over and over until their bodies give out”.
PETA also said that the couple made a mistake by killing a shelter dog’s chance of being adopted and that the couple needs to ‘Level Up’ on kindness by adopting a companion for this pup instead of fueling the homeless-animal crisis.
PETA is an organization that is dedicated to establishing and defending the rights of all animals.
