The Ocho Rios Fire Station building has officially been renamed to the Larenzo Garnet Douse Memorial building.

This was done in honor of the late firefighter, who died in a tragic accident while he was actively on duty, in Ocho Rios St. Ann in November last year.

The official renaming ceremony was held yesterday at the fire station, and Minister of Local Government, Desmond McKenzie said there was agreement between representatives of both political parties to rename the station building.

He also underscored the significance of honoring young people for their service to the country.
