Normal operations have resumed at the Firearm Licensing Authority FLA, as representatives from the entity have been summoned to a meeting with the Finance Ministry, later today (Thurs).
This was confirmed this morning by Chief Executive Officer of the FLA, Shane Dalling.
It comes after workers walked off the job, on Tuesday, to register dissatisfaction with the Finance Ministry’s handling of issues relating to compensation.
The group noted that after months of negotiations regarding compensation, the Ministry had communicated that there would be no change in salaries.
The staff said it viewed the Ministry’s response as a blatant disregard for their right to proper compensation.
