Finance Minister Dr. Nigel Clarke has announced that there is no new tax for the next fiscal year.
He made the revelation during his Budget Debate presentation in Parliament, today (March 8).
He said this is the fifth consecutive fiscal year where there will be no new tax.
Dr. Clarke explained that the focus is on economic recovery in the quickest possible time.
He noted that increasing taxes at this time would run counter to that objective.
