The North East Regional Health Authority NERHA, is investigating an altercation between a staff member, visitors and security officers at the St. Ann’s Bay Hospital, in St. Ann.
In a video circulating on social media, the female employee of the hospital is seen tussling with a female visitor to the hospital.
Security officers can also be seen in another altercation with a visitor, both altercations were brought to an end, by security officers at the hospital.
In a release this morning, NERHA said it is aware of the incident which occurred at the hospital on Sunday September 17, at approximately 5:34pm.
It said the hospital’s management has initiated an investigative process in response to the incident, in accordance with the protocols and standard operating procedures.
It noted that it is committed to a thorough and impartial investigation that will provide a clear understanding of the incident.
