Our Z Weather Report and forecast for today sees a High Pressure Ridge across the northern Caribbean.

The Met Service says the Ridge is expected to remain across the region for the next several days. Windy conditions are expected to continue, especially across northern parishes, due to the presence of a Low-level Jet Stream.

A Low-Level Jet Stream is a narrow band of fast flowing wind in the lower levels of the atmosphere.

Additionally, a Small Craft Warning remains in effect for inshore and offshore areas of the north coast and offshore areas of the south coast due to strong winds and rough seas.

This morning continues to see isolated showers across sections of northern parishes, otherwise mainly sunny.

This afternoon will see isolated showers across hilly areas and south-western parishes, elsewhere partly cloudy. Windy especially across northern parishes

Tonight, Becoming fair.

Maximum temperature expected for Kingston today is 31 degrees Celsius and in Montego Bay is 30 degrees Celsius.
