Jamaican entertainer Shaggy is set to headline the ninth instalment of DJ Cassidy’s Pass The Mic: BET After Party, which will be Reggae themed.
The after-party show will follow the 53rd National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) Image Awards on February 26, the Grammy winner will also be joined by the likes of Super Cat and Maxi Priest and others.
Cassidy says that the upcoming ‘Pass the Mic’ will be bigger than the last and will highlight Reggae music, “From Jamaica to England to Canada to the United States, I’m going to pass the mic to those prolific artists that have defined reggae culture over the past four decades”. He went on to say, “influencing not only reggae, but hip-hop, R&B, and pop music on a global scale. This instalment of Pass the Mic is a testament to the massive influence of reggae music”.
