Megan Thee Stallion is still taking the fight to her Record Label in the bid to get her freedom.

The ‘Savage’ rapper filed a new amended complaint against 1501 Certified Entertainment, requesting that the court declare that her latest album “Traumazine,” and “Something for Thee Hotties” “both constitute as an ‘album’ as defined in the parties’ recording agreement.” If this is granted, Megan would have “satisfied all option periods” in her contract signed with the label in 2018.

The rapper is also suing for $1 million in damages, after alleging that 1501 has refused to give up her share of the royalties from her music.

1501 Certified Entertainment shot back at the claim for damages, claiming that she still owes the label “many millions” in revenue accrued from touring, endorsements, merchandising, and acting roles.

Megan’s issue with 1501 Certified Entertainment first came up in 2020, when the rapper first filed a suit against the label. She accused the label of signing her to a “one-sided” contract in which the label allegedly took a huge percentage of her recording income, as well as a sizable portion of her revenue from touring and merchandising.
