Lorne Donaldson is no longer the man in charge of Jamaica’s national senior women’s football team.

Donaldson who led the Reggae Girls to an historic round of 16 appearance at the recent FIFA women’s world cup finals in Australia and New Zealand saw his contract come to an end, after Jamaica faced Canada in the return leg of the two-way Olympic playoff earlier this week at the BMO field in Toronto where they lost 2-1 on the night to go down 4-1 on aggregate.

Reports are that the technical committee of the JFF did not endorse his re-engagement, leaving the federation now in search of a new coach to guide Jamaica’s campaign to qualify for the inaugural Concacaf Women’s Gold Cup which begins next month.

A release from the JFF, says the decision to part company followed an extended discussion at the JFF offices where both parties agreed the contract would not be renewed
