The Jamaica Hotel and Tourist Association JHTA has applauded the government’s removal of some COVID-19 travel restrictions.
Yesterday, Prime Minister Andrew Holness announced that the requirement for travel authorization and quarantine will be discontinued as of March 1.
JHTA President, Clifton Reader, says the decision is a step in the right direction.
The JHTA predicts that the move will result in increased tourist arrivals, while also making travel easier for Jamaican business and leisure travellers.
