Despite an increase in inflows into National Water Commission (NWC) Systems, from recent rainfall, Jamaicans are still being urged to conserve water.

Minister with responsibility for Water, Matthew Samuda explains that even though there were increased inflows to some systems, others are still experiencing inflows that are significantly below their normal levels.

Mr Samuda said although the island was experiencing some rainfall, the sporadic nature of the rainfall meant that even when restrictions are lifted, citizens should make efforts to conserve their use of water.
