Reggae artiste Jah Cure was arraigned today before the Netherlands court and is currently facing charges of attempted murder, attempted manslaughter, aggravated assault or attempted aggravated assault.
According to reports, the Grammy-nominated artiste was arrested by police in Amsterdam Netherlands last Saturday.
It is alleged that the artiste attacked promoter ‘Papa’ of Roots Vibes Promotion and stabbed him in the abdomen last Friday. Papa was hospitalized after the incident and then made a report to the police.
According to the Netherlands Public Prosecution Service, the examining judge has ordered that the suspect in the incident be placed on remand for 14 days while the police investigation continues. Jah Cure will remain in custody, without bail, in a detention centre.
Jah Cure is in Amsterdam as part of a three-month tour of Europe which began in early August. Jah Cure also had appearances in Barcelona, Spain and Belgium.
