Consumers could soon see an increase in products made from cement.
The prediction follows an 8 per cent increase in the cost of cement produced by Carib Cement last month.
Head of the Integrated Master–builders Association of Jamaica, (IMAJ) Lenworth Kelly said there could be a small increase in products that include cement in their manufacturing.
However, Mr Kelly underscored that the increase will not carry the same weight, as previous increases for other construction material
According to Mr Kelly, were it not for the local production of cement, the increase could have been higher.
