Hear the Children’s Cry has launched its ‘Amber Fund Me Appeal’ as part of its efforts to maintain critical services and expand outreach programmes across the island.
Founder of the organization, Betty Ann Blaine says that as several children’s advocacy groups cease operations due to difficulty with funding, she hopes Hear the Children’s Cry will last to continue addressing the challenges and needs facing the nation’s children.
Mrs. Blaine says the number of children reported missing in Jamaica remains very high, with an average of close to one hundred cases recorded each month.
She explains that the fund will help contribute to the upgrade, continuation and development of various programs aimed at reducing the number of missing children.
