Music producer Sean ‘Contractor’ Edwards has finally received his Billboard Plaque for ‘The Tropical House Cruises to Jamaica: The Reggae Collector’s Edition’ album.
The project is a compilation album that features heavy hitters such as Capleton, Sizzla, Peetah Morgan, Singing Melody and Wayne Wonder, Vybz Kartel, Skillibeng and Tommy Lee Sparta. The album was headlined by Shatta Wale from Ghana.
In a recent interview, Contractor stated that the concept for the album started back in 2018 and took about 6 months to complete. The album broke several records by debuting in Ghana at number 1 in all genres and Shatta Wale’s song, ‘Dream’, debuted at number 1 in Ghana in all genres.
The album also debuted in the top 10 on the iTunes Reggae Charts in 20 countries.
