Prime Minister Dickon Mitchell has urged public sector employees to fulfill their tasks to the best of their abilities, claiming that his party, the National Democratic Congress (NDC), which was voted to office on June 23, does not have a magic wand to fix all issues.

Mitchell, the Minister of Finance, emphasized important areas that he hopes to address in the near future while speaking with personnel at the Ministry of Finance.

The 44-year-old lawyer and his party made the promise to regularize the status of those working in the public service during the general election campaign.

The NDC also gave the assurance that it will undertake a review of the pay and grade structure within the public service as well as train and retrain public officers and other government employees.
