Double Olympic Champion wins season opener


Double Olympic Champion, Elaine Thompson-Herah made her season debut at the Queens/Grace Jackson Invitational Meet at the National Stadium today. Elaine Thompson won the 60 meters in 7 point- one-nine seconds.

Meanwhile Christopher Taylor and Britany Anderson, both Olympic Games finalists, were Jamaican winners at the 114th Millrose Games, a world Athletics Indoors Tour Gold meeting held at The Armory New Balance Track & Field Centre in New York on Saturday.

Taylor won the men’s 400m, while Anderson set a new personal best to win the women’s 60m hurdles, while 800m runner Natoya Goule-Toppin and 400m runner Tovea Jenkins both received podium finishes.
