A 48-hour curfew has been imposed in a section of the Brown’s Town (Dunkirk) community in Kingston 16. The curfew began at 6:00 p.m., on Tuesday, December 05 and will remain in effect until 6:00 p.m., on Thursday, December 07.
The boundaries of the curfew include Cumberland Avenue, West Avenue, Upper Elletson Road d parts of Windward Road.
During the hours of the curfew, all persons within its boundaries are required to remain within their premises for 48 hours, unless otherwise authorized by the ground commander.
The curfew comes following Tuesday’s shooting of eight people when gunmen opened fire on a group in the community.
