A man who has been on trial as an alleged member of the clansman gang was freed after the court determined that he’s not a member.

Carl Beech was freed by Chief Justice Bryan Sykes today.

Justice Sykes said the evidence given did not show that Beech was involved in any murder or attend any gang meeting. Beech had been facing charges of facilitating the murder of a person known only as ‘outlaw’ in Lariston, St. Catherine in November 2017.

Over 20 other alleged members of the gang including alleged leader Andre ‘blackman’ Bryan, remain on trial.
