The United States Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has lowered Jamaica’s COVID-19 risk level. The country is now ranked at level two, down from level three in past weeks.

The level two ranking suggests that the COVID-19 level in a particular country is moderate. Persons are encouraged to make sure they are fully vaccinated before travelling to these destinations.

The lower risk level comes as the country continues to see a low number of COVID-19 cases recorded daily and a consistently low positivity rate.
