Premier of the British Virgin Islands, BVI, Dr Natalio Wheatley says the Permanent Secretary in his office, Carolyn O’Neal Morton, has been placed on leave as criminal investigations into the BVI’s government departments and agencies continue.

The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force is conducting the investigation.

The inquiry has begun following Governor John Rankin’s recent declaration that he has directed Commissioner of Police Mark Collins to conduct multiple criminal investigations into government departments and agencies, as recommended by the Commission of Inquiry report.
