We caught up with Beenie Man ahead of the Grammys. He is nominated for his Simma album.

Here is what he had to say about how it feels to be nominated again for the coveted award.

The King of the Dance Hall says that, while he is confident, it is good to have been recognised.

We then asked about how relevant the Grammy award is for Jamaican artiste, especially as a Grammy awardee himself.

Beenie Man has been nominated a total of four times and won in 2001 for ‘Art & Life’.

The Grammys will be aired this Sunday, February 4th. Other nominees are Burning Spear for “No Destroyer,” Buju Banton for “Born for Greatness,” Julian Maley and Antaeus for “Colors of Royal” and Collie Budz for “Cali Roots Riddim 2023.”
