A team of investigators assigned to the St. Catherine South Centre for the Investigation of Sexual Offences and Child Abuse CISOCA charged three men, including two brothers with the Abduction of a Child Under 16-year-old following an incident in Port Henderson Road, Portmore, St. Catherine on Sunday, July 02.
They are: Nineteen-year-old Andre Barrett, of 7 East Greater Portmore, St. Catherine, Nineteen-year-old Kenrick Smallings, of Braeton Phase 1, Greater Portmore, St. Catherine and Twenty-one-year-old Ricky Smallings, of Braeton Phase 1, Greater Portmore, St. Catherine.
Reports are that about 4:30 p.m., the three minors, who are girls, met with the men and went to a hotel in the area.
One of the child’s mother learned about the incident and contacted the Police.
On the arrival of the Police, the men ran.
However, they were intercepted along the Newland main road, where they were arrested.
Following an investigation, the men were charged after they were questioned in the presence of their attorneys.
Their court date has not been finalized.
