The United States has committed an additional $133 million to aid crisis torn Haiti.

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said the additional $133 million will bring the United State’s overall aid to $300 million.

Mr. Blinken was in Jamaica for a CARICOM organized meeting on the security situation in Haiti.

Mr. Blinken said despite the contributions by the United States and other partners, only the citizens of Haiti can and should determine their future.

He hoped that a plan would be finalized from the discussions that have taken place.
