Two women are among eight people who were taken into custody during a major operation by the Anti Gang Task Force in Portmore St. Catherine this morning (Fri).
The operation that ended minutes before 11:00, also saw one motor vehicle being seized and a quantity of lead sheets.
Inspector Shaun-jaye Mitchell said police also seized several devices including laptops and cellular phones.
He said the operation that was launched at around 7:00, in the Caribbean Estates Area, was to capture a particular target, who is included in those arrested.
The names of the individuals are being withheld, pending the laying of charges.
This is the second operation in an upscale community, by the security forces this week.
