TOURISM MINISTER IN LONDON FOR WORLD TRAVEL MARKET

Tourism Minister Edmund Bartlett departed the island on Saturday, for London, England to participate in World Travel Market London.

The global travel tradeshow will begin tomorrow and end on Wednesday.

In expressing his enthusiasm about the upcoming event, Mr. Bartlett said the World Travel Market is a crucial event for Jamaica’s tourism industry.

He said with England being the leading European market for visitors to Jamaica, it offers the country a golden opportunity to strengthen existing partnerships, and explore new collaborations.

World Travel Market London is recognized as the most influential travel and tourism gathering globally.

Mr Bartlett is to also participate in a Ministers’ summit, meet with various business associates, have bilateral discussions, attend the Global Travel Hall of Fame and more.

The Minister is slated to return to Jamaica on Thursday, November 9.
