Country and pop singer Taylor Swift will be dropping her 8th album, titled ‘Folklore’, tonight.
The 10-time Grammy winner made the announcement on Twitter and Instagram this morning and stated that “Most of the things I had planned this summer didn’t end up happening, but there is something I hadn’t planned on that DID happen. And that thing is my 8th studio album, folklore. Surprise Tonight at midnight I’ll be releasing my entire brand new album of songs I’ve poured all of my whims, dreams, fears, and musings into.”
The project consists of 16 tracks on the standard edition, but the physical deluxe editions will include a bonus track called “the lakes.” Because it will be Taylor’s 8th studio album, the project will have 8 deluxe CD editions and 8 deluxe vinyl editions that will be available for one week Each deluxe edition has unique covers, photos, and artwork. The singer’s last studio album, ‘Lover’ was released almost a year now, and was a personal milestone for the pop singer, since it was the first album that she owned the rights to her work and her masters after public disputes with her past record label.
