A 16-year-old male student of the Tivoli Gardens High School in Kingston has been charged with assaulting a teacher.
Reports from the Police are that about 11:03am yesterday, the female teacher and the student got into an altercation after she reportedly asked him to leave the classroom. A Portion of the incident was caught on camera and has been circulated on social media.
In the viral video, several male students can be seen intervening in the dispute to separate the teacher and the student. The Police say the teen has been charged with occasioning bodily harm.
His court date has not yet been finalised.
