Several roadways were flood this afternoon as heavy rains lashed sections of the corporate area.
In some instances motorists were forced to use alternative routes or pause thier journey until after the waters receded.
Unstable weather across sections of the contry is being influenced by an induced Trough associated with Hurricane Fiona.
The Met Office says this trough is expected to remain across island until tomorrow afternoon.
