The police are reporting that Thirty-two-year-old Patrick Palmer, otherwise called ‘Purpie’, of Chilly Lane, Port Antonio, Portland has been charged with Illegal Possession of Firearm and Assault at Common Law following an incident along the Hope Bay main road in the parish on Friday, July 08.
Reports are that about 8:30 p.m., a man was at a bar when Palmer allegedly attacked him and pointed a firearm at him.
The man managed to hit the gun from Palmer’s hand and ran.
He made a report to the Police and Palmer was arrested the same day.
Palmer was charged after a question-and-answer interview. His court date is being finalised.
