Prime Minister Andrew Holness says the country will not be able to rectify the education loss that has resulted from Covid-19, by simply putting students back in the classroom.

Thousands of students have not been engaged in face-to-face classes in months, due to the pandemic.

The Prime Minister says the Ministry of Education and parents will have to regain lost ground, through special efforts such as extended hours for some children.

He says the education loss will have a profound impact on the society, if radical changes are not made to the education system.
